The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 Ref. 124300 in the Celebration Motif is one of the most joyful and distinctive dials Rolex has ever produced — and one of the most talked-about releases in recent Rolex history. Discontinued in 2025, this reference is no longer available through authorised dealers, making examples on the secondary market increasingly sought after by collectors who missed it the first time.
The Celebration Motif dial is unlike anything else in the Rolex catalogue. A turquoise blue background — already one of the most coveted dial colours in the Oyster Perpetual range — is covered with a profusion of multicolour circles in red, yellow, green, pink, and dark green, each outlined in black and varying in size from small to large across the entire dial surface. The effect is deliberately playful, exuberantly graphic, and entirely unexpected from a Manufacture known for restraint. Silver baton hour markers with Chromalight fill sit at the dial perimeter, providing legibility against the colourful surface without competing with the motif. The Rolex crown sits at 12 o'clock in matching silver.
The 41mm Oystersteel case carries the signature smooth bezel — allowing the dial to be the undisputed centre of attention — paired with the Oyster bracelet in polished and brushed Oystersteel. Powered by Rolex's in-house Calibre 3230 with 70 hours of power reserve, anti-magnetic Parachrom hairspring, and Superlative Chronometer certification to +/- 2 seconds per day.
